Correlation between Nidana (etiological factors) and symptoms of Purishavaha Strotodushti - A cross sectional survey study

Introduction: Strotasa a unique concept explained in Ayurveda are the channels (micro/macro) through which constituents for nourishment of Sharira bhava(body constituents)are constantly circulated. Functioning Purishvaha (channels feces transportation and transformation) deals with formation, retention evacuation feces. Symptoms caused by vitiation primarily concerned defecation. Material methods: A cross sectional was carried out on 120 patients suffering from above age 60 years irrespective sex, religion diet pattern. Patients were surveyed help questionnaire designed evaluate Parikshana (examination), Nidana dushti. Observation results: 66.66% participants had mixed type diet, 95% passage sticky foul smelling stool.
